League Docs

Articles of Competition

A binding, semi-binding, emotionally binding document governing fantasy football, fake trophies, real grudges, and other matters of league importance.

Article I: League Purpose

The Super Awesome Radical League exists for the purpose of playing fantasy football, preserving long-running friendships, creating annual disappointment, and determining which manager shall temporarily claim superiority over the others.

The league shall be competitive, but not joyless. Managers are encouraged to try hard, talk a reasonable amount of trash, and remember that this is a game.

Article II: Membership

The league shall consist of ten managers unless otherwise changed by vote. Managers are expected to remain active, respond to league business, set legal lineups, and generally behave like people who remember they joined a league.

Current Managers

Current managers shall be listed in the official league registry, along with records, championships, medals, draft history, and other historically important nonsense.

Past Managers

Past managers remain part of league history. Their records, titles, failures, and contributions shall not be erased.

Article III: The Commissioner

The commissioner is responsible for maintaining the league, organizing the draft, collecting dues, communicating rule changes, resolving disputes, updating records, and performing other thankless duties.

The Front Office

The Front Office is the official home of league notes, rules, calendar items, documents, announcements, and other boring things that become important the moment someone ignores them.

Article IV: Dues and Payouts

League dues shall be set before the draft each season. Dues must be paid by the posted deadline unless the commissioner grants an extension for reasons of mercy, forgetfulness, or logistical annoyance.

Payouts

Payouts shall be announced before the season begins. Once the season begins, payout structure shall not be changed unless all affected managers agree.

Article V: The Draft

The draft is the official beginning of hope. All managers shall gather, log in, or otherwise appear at the scheduled time to select players they will later pretend they never wanted.

Draft Date

The draft date shall be posted on the league calendar. Missing the draft is permitted, but blaming auto-draft for everything is only permitted for a limited time.

Draft Records

Draft results shall be preserved in the league museum. Picks may be scored, ranked, mocked, celebrated, or placed into evidence depending on how badly they age.

Article VI: Rosters and Lineups

Roster settings shall be maintained on the official league platform. Managers are responsible for understanding roster limits, position eligibility, bench spots, injured reserve rules, and any other settings visible directly in front of them.

Competitive Lineups

Managers are expected to set complete and competitive lineups each week. Accidentally starting an inactive player happens. Repeatedly abandoning a lineup is a crime against the vibes.

Article VII: Scoring

Scoring shall be governed by the official league platform settings. Managers are encouraged to review scoring before the draft instead of discovering it angrily in Week 3.

Medal Scoring

Medals go to the managers who roster the highest-scoring QB, RB, WR, and TE when the fantasy dust settles. They did the work. The manager gets the credit.

Article VIII: Waivers

Waivers and free agency shall follow official league platform settings. Managers are responsible for knowing waiver deadlines, priority rules, budget rules, and any other mechanism by which they attempt to fix their draft.

Article IX: Trades

Trades are allowed and encouraged, even when they are bad. A bad trade is not automatically an illegal trade. Regret is not collusion. Being roasted in the group text is the natural remedy for poor judgment.

Collusion

Collusion is prohibited. Any agreement designed to unfairly transfer value, manipulate standings, or damage competitive integrity may be reversed.

Article X: Playoffs

The playoffs exist to determine the champion and to remind everyone that regular season dominance can disappear in one terrible week.

Championship Game

The championship game shall determine the winner of the Super Awesome Radical League. The champion shall receive the appropriate payout, historical recognition, and temporary rights to act like they solved football.

Article XI: The Trophy

The official league trophy is known as The Jeremy. It is both an object and a burden. Each champion shall be recorded in league history and, when possible, added to The Jeremy or Cyber Jeremy.

Article XII: Records and History

The league shall maintain a museum of champions, managers, standings, medals, records, draft history, box scores, and other items deemed worthy of preservation by the Front Office.

Corrections

Managers may submit corrections to league history. Corrections should include evidence, context, and a respectful recognition that the person maintaining this archive has already spent too much time on it.

Article XIII: Rule Changes

Rule changes should be handled before the season begins. The league prefers stability, but also recognizes that some rules become outdated, annoying, or obviously dumb after enough years.

Voting

Major rule changes shall require league approval. Rule changes should not take effect midseason unless necessary to fix a clear problem and approved by the league.
